1 week after Ed Miliband’s announcement the UK’s Trade Union body the TUC endorsed the BDS boycotts,divestment and sanctions campaign.
The vote commits the TUC, and its member unions, to actively campaign for the UK to end military cooperation with Israel and support the introduction of broader sanctions against Israel.
It also commits them to supporting “trade unionists, including artists and culture workers, who refuse to handle goods and services linked to violations of international law.

Sept 19th
Five police forces in the East Midlands announced they are no longer working with Palantir on Project Nectar a controversial mass surveillance programme. Campaigners say it could lead to “indiscriminate mass surveillance”.
The five forces are Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire &Nottinghamshire. The move is a setback for Palantir. The US defence tech firm founded by Trump donor Peter Thiel.
